Low Income Tax Credit Housing (MUST meet minimum income requirements to qualify)
To apply for VILLAGE COURT APARTMENTS, WAVERLY COURT APARTMENTS OR HOMES AT THACKSTON PARK, you must meet the MINIMUM INCOME REQUIREMENTS. Please CLICK HERE to find out the MINIMUM INCOME REQUIREMENTS. If you do not meet the minimum income guidelines you will be removed from the wait list. Section 8 Voucher Holders are exempt from the minimum guidelines.
Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 Participants
York Housing Authority Housing Choice Voucher/Section 8 must complete a re-certification on every family once a year before their lease anniversary date. York Housing Authority must determine if the household is still eligible for assistance and review their rent subsidy. A caseworker will verify the income and any changes in the household.
As of October 2017, York Housing Authority will no longer mail out the Annual Re-certification Packet to participants. Participants will be mailed a letter informing them it’s time for their Annual Re-certification. Participants will need to print the Annual Re-certification Packet from the web site or stop at the York Housing Authority to pick up an Annual Re-certification Packet

York Housing Authority was founded in 1949 and has assisted over 10,000 families since then. In 1978, an agreement was made between York Housing Authority and the County of York to provide affordable housing throughout the County.
York Housing Authority owns and operates 1,069 public housing units in addition to administering 1,452 Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8 Rental Assistance). Management services are also provided to York Towne House, Village Court, Waverly Court, and Homes at Thackston Park Apartments.
