Welcome to The Housing Authority of the City of York (YHA)
The York Housing Authority provides decent, safe and affordable homes to individuals and families with limited incomes while constantly working to ensure meaningful collaborations with community partners; striving for sustainable residences for the future health and well being of York County.
York Housing Authority was founded in 1949 and has assisted over 10,000 families since then. In 1978, an agreement was made between York Housing Authority and the County of York to provide affordable housing throughout the County.
York Housing Authority owns and operates 1,073 public housing units in addition to the administration of 1,452 Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8 Rental Assistance).
