They have also put together an overall study on homelessness in the US today

The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency – Is the Commonwealth’s leading provider of capital for affordable homes and apartments. Created to help enhance the quality and supply of affordable homes and apartments for older adults, persons of modest means, and persons with disabilities, the Agency operates homeownership programs, rental housing development initiatives, and a foreclosure prevention effort.


Housing Alliance of York – provided information on housing related programs and services not only offered by Housing Alliance of York but also other providers working to meet our community’s housing related needs.


York Habitat for Humanity – Today, York Habitat for Humanity, Inc. is a nonprofit 501(c)3 volunteer organization dedicated to helping lower income families become owners of modest, affordable homes by committing to rehabilitate older homes or construct new ones.


Center of Independent Living (CIL) – The Pennsylvania Council on Independent Living (PCIL) is a private, non-profit, 501 (C) (3) association representing all CILs in the Commonwealth. Dedicated to the independence and empowerment of persons with disabilities.

Bell Socialization Services – is a private, non-profit organization based in York, PA, providing quality mental health, mental retardation and shelter services in York and Adams counties.


York Community Progress Council – is York County’s Community Action Agency that offers programs to meet the needs of many low to moderate income residents of York County.

York Fresh Food Farms was created to address hunger by growing safe, healthy organic food.  The Grant will enable York Fresh Food Farms to reach out and connect with surronding neighborhood and involve York PA residents in garden based learning programs and nutrition education that emphasizes eating fresh, local produce and empowers families with skills to make healthly food choices, stretch food budgets and prepare nutritious meals.
